ChromeDriver should work with any CEF-based application that results in an exe file. If you want to drive UX outside of the browser that's a different issue -- I don't have any recommendations for that.

Hi,
Do you suggest using selenium and ChromeDriver to access the CEF exe file for automation. We would like to automate the GUI testing. What would be the best way to do that.

Do you have any sample code or procedure to do that.

Thanks

Hi,
Do you have any status on this issue.
Do you have any recommendation to test UX from within the browser instead.

Any documentation, code sample or procedure would be helpful.

Thanks

Pushpa,

I wouldn't expect it to be any different than for Chrome. Whatever you use on layers "above" ChromeDriver would be the same as you can search the Internet for with Chrome.

Hi,
We have chromium embedded framework library in a WPF application with js/html/cs. We tried to automate the application using Ranorex, Cucumber frameworks etc. by accessing the EXE file. However we are able to touch the GUI frame but not the individual elements in the page. Do you have any suggestion to automate the application.

We would like to automate the application using the EXE file. If that is not possible is there any way to automate the testing of the application.

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Thanks

I've added a short tutorial explaining how to automate CEF3 with ChromeDriver and Java: https://code.google.com/p/chromiumembed ... romeDriver
