Adding NSStatusItem on cefclient application

Hi

I am new to CEF. I am trying to modify the existing cefclient project. I need a NSStatusBar Item in my application. When I try to add NSStatusItem in ClientAppDelegate in cefclient_mac.mm file. The status bar item is not shown in the application. I am currently using the latest release build. ( not the trunk ).

My OS is 10.8.5 and using xcode 5.1.1.

I am confused why it is not working. what modifications need in the project to add a NSStatusBarItem.
