Screen sharing support path

Hi,
I want to use CEF in an app but need it to support screen sharing.
I understand that it is possible to patch CEF to get it working: http://arkenthera.github.io/Enabling-CEF-to-Screen-Share-using-getUserMedia-API/
However I don't want to distribute CEF as well as the app, so could someone give me a timescale as to when 'desktop-media' will be supported within core CEF?
