Use of Third Party Code in CEF

Postby mjha » Tue Jun 21, 2016 12:13 pm

I wanted to know if the third party component included in CEF are periodically updated from there source trunk.

Or they are modified and maintained in the CEF branch only.

What component specifically are you referring to?

i see few components which are quite old

Speech Dispatcher 0.7.1 9/13/2010
sqlite 3.7.6.3 5/19/2011
libpng 1.2.45 7/7/2011
talloc 12/15/2009

so if there is an issue with these components do you take a new version or you make the change in source code.

Most third-party dependencies are statically linked in Chromium. You can find the version and source code in the Chromium source tree: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/th ... hromium&dr

What OS and CEF version are you using? Where did you get the version numbers that you listed above? Current versions of Chromium are using much newer versions of sqlite and libpng, for example.

I am using 2272 on windows.

So is my understanding s that all the third party components are used as it and the source code is not modified in CEF branch Is this correct ?

2272 branch is very old. You should upgrade to a current branch like 2704.

Third-party dependencies come from the Chromium source tree. Any modifications made by CEF would be listed in CEF's patch/patch.cfg file for that branch.
