USE_EXPERIMENTAL_ALLOCATOR_SHIM flag?

Postby Czarek » Fri Sep 09, 2016 2:52 am

Hello, I've been building branch 2785 on Linux and in `chromium/src/out/base/allocator/` found file `allocator_features_buildflag_header.rsp` with these contents:
Code: Select all
--flags
"USE_EXPERIMENTAL_ALLOCATOR_SHIM=1"

Why is an experimental flag being used when building stable branch 2785? Is this somehow related to tcmalloc being disabled? https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/ ... -linux-osx

Here's where the value is determined: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/bu ... rcl=0&l=16. It appears to always be on for non-sanitizer Linux builds.
