Online documentation inconsistency

Postby SergeyAvd » Mon Oct 17, 2016 2:53 pm

Hi All,

I found that the online documentation for the project is inconsistent with the binary distribution and header files I've recently downloaded.

The link to the docs: http://magpcss.org/ceforum/apidocs3/

The file I'm looking at is include/views/cef_window.h it has CefWindow class, but the documentation doesn't mention that at all. The version of binary is cef_binary_3.2704.1427.g95055fe_windows32.

I'm wondering if the online docs are actively maintained? If not is there a way to generate the documentation myself?

Thank you!

The online documentation is out-of-date currently. You can generate it yourself by running the tools\make_cppdocs.bat script on Windows.

magreenblatt, thank you for the answer! It worked for me.

In case anyone else wonders how to generate the documentation here are the instructions:

1. Clone cef repository: git clone https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/cef.git

2. Install CppDoc from somewhere (the original website http://www.cppdoc.com is down).

3. Run tools\make_cppdoc.bat batch file from a Windows command prompt. It will show the CppDoc window.

4. Click Go. It'll generate a bunch of HTML files in the docs\ folder.

5. Open docs\index.html

There's this download location: http://download.cnet.com/CppDoc/3000-23 ... 55397.html

I have not tried to download from there myself.
