Download Exe File With CEF

In some site, I have some link like <a href=".....\test.exe">Click Here</a>.

I Guess clicking shoul download file (works with pdf, doc, etc...). Why not for Exes ?

What happens for EXEs? Maybe OS/AV blocks the file or something. Can you reproduce issue with cefclient sample application?
