Automatic Updates for CEF apps?

Hello,

Is there any way for a CEF-dependent app to receive automated updates from Chromium, so that our users can get the latest security fixes?

I'm evaluating using CEF for my current project, and it's not clear what the current update process is. If I embed CEF into my app, will I be stuck with that particular version of the Chromium engine until I download the latest build and redeploy my app?

You will need to update and redistribute Chromium/CEF for your app. Depending on what has changed you may need to recompile your native app in any case. You can use the automated builds available from http://opensource.spotify.com/cefbuilds/index.html. As a general rule you don't want to push CEF/Chromium updates to users (expectially across Chromium milestones) without first testing that everything works correctly with your particular app.
