Generic Message Router vs. Custom Implementation

Is there any advantage to using a Custom Implementation of Asynchronous JavaScript Bindings to just using the Generic Message Router? What are the limitations of using the Generic implementation?

There are no specific limitations to the generic implementation. Both approaches are documented for completeness.
