Cannot use --remote-debugging-port on CEF (v59) on MAC

Hello,
I tried launching a cefclient as follows: cefclient --remote-debugging-port=9222 --user-data-dir=/tmp/dir --url=http://www.google.com
And tried connecting to the session as follows: cefclient --url=http://localhost:9222
But cannot connect to the remote debugging session, (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED (-102))
ran lsof -i to check the listening ports and do not see the cefclient listening on port 9222
