This isn't really a support request just an observation. We recently when to update the version of Chrome we were using for PDF rendering. We were using 59 so we updated to Chromium 66. Certain pages of local html files suddenly seemed to take between 30% to 500% times as long to render. So we decided to test every major release since and here are the results on a 1.5Mb html file containing only paragraphs. Tests were conducted on WIndows 10 using the 64 bit versions:
- Code: Select all
cef_binary_C59_3.3071.1649.g98725e6 / Chromium 59: 4.25s
cef_binary_C60_3.3112.1659.gfef43e0 / Chromium 60: 4.24s
cef_binary_C61_3.3163.1671.g700dc25 / Chromium 61: 4.36s
cef_binary_C62_3.3202.1694.gf061c23 / Chromium 62: 4.24s
cef_binary_C63_3.3239.1723.g071d1c1 / Chromium 63: 4.50s
cef_binary_C64_3.3282.1742.g96f907e / Chromium 64: 5.37s
cef_binary_C65_3.3325.1758.g9aea513 / Chromium 65: 5.50s
cef_binary_C66_3.3359.1772.gd1df190 / Chromium 66: 22.00s
In the post 64 version we are seeing quite a few fixes - such as with repeated table header and footers.
Is anyone else seeing this? Any ideas why this would be?
