eglInitialize SwANGLE failed with error EGL_NOT_INITIALIZED

Trying to implement the "Update to CEF version 104.4.23" commit by Rene in our Java application I am (again) facing this error on linux (CentOS7).

It is not caused by file permissions, running the same scripts with the previous commits done by Juanou and Alexander as well as the previous CEF update by Rene all work just fine.

I have tried adding the command line switches --use-gl=angle --use-angle=swiftshader-webgl (passing them on to the CefApp constructor) but this makes no difference.

What I get running included detailed example using run.sh:

I suggest running the Sample Application on your system. This will help to confirm or deny JCEF as the source of the problem.

Thank you for the fast response !

I just tried the CEF sample application, it runs fine, but reports a few issues:

Maybe I need to look for a command line switch to disable the dri3 extension ?

Or could it be related to the vulkan / swiftshader relatred files that are included with the sample application but not with JCEF ?

Any vulkan / swiftshader related files files included with the sample application should also be included with JCEF (at the same version).

Wow, that fixed it indeed. sometimes the solution i so much simpler than what we are looking for ;-)

I will report this as an issue and see if i can commit a fix for make-distrib.sh
