What exacly is the "main" frame in a browser instance?

Postby pdebella » Mon Jan 17, 2022 12:52 pm

Hello,

I need to process errors for specific content in a browser but I'm not sure what frame I should be concerned with. What exactly is meant by "main" frame? What does browser->GetMainFrame() actually return? For example, if I loaded a Youtube video, what would be considered the "main" frame?

Thanks...

The "main" frame is the top-level frame in the browser view. In DevTools Console tab it's labeled the "top" frame.
