Estimated timeline for stable build of 5249 branch

Postby linuxcef9 » Wed Sep 28, 2022 4:47 pm

Hi Marshall,

The latest commit on branch 5249 : https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/ ... ranch/5249 is based off chromium version 106.0.5249.12 https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/ ... t#lines-10

106.0.5249.61/62 was promoted to stable build recently : https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2 ... op_27.html

When would we have another commit of cef which pulls in the stable chromium release branch of 106.0.5249.61/62 ? That'll help plan our upgrades.

Thanks!

Thank you!

Do you foresee any issues if we use current latest cef build based off 106.0.5249.12?
We might not have bandwidth for few more days as we need to run multiple rounds of tests before shipping the feature.

I would recommend sticking with M105 (current stable builds) in that case, unless there’s something specific in M106 that you need.

106 mainly brings in updated sqlite which fixes some CVE. That's main motivation of upgrading to 106 but we would prefer to do that once we've stable build available.
