Will chromium ever support socks5 proxy authentication?

Will chromium ever support socks5 proxy authentication?

As far as i know Chromium Embedded currently does not support socks5 proxy authentication.
Is there any plans to add this functionality? If so, how soon?

Chromium doesn't support it, and it doesn't look like anyone is working on it. See https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issu ... ?id=256785.
