Lua-JS V8 Interoperability Performance

Hi,
I'm trying to integrate CEF in my game toolchain, works completely fine, but when it came time to integrate scripting to my project with Lua, I arrived with doubt if CEF could suffer performance problems with overhead by the virtual machines of Javascript and Lua.

My options they are discard completely Lua and using the recently new trend of Hot-Reloading C++ or making the V8 engine for game scripting too. Thanks.
