Questions about IPC

Hi,

I have a couple of questions about IPC :

1) I need to share data between my API and the render process, for now I create a V8Context in which I create an JSObject and the GUI modify the JSObject and the API get the JSObject and read its new value. Is it the best way or any others solutions are existing ?

2) What is the best way to communicate in real time beetween my API and the render process ? For example I have a timer in my api and I want to show its value in the GUI.
