File from trusted domain is downloaded as untrusted file.

Postby Dhvaj17 » Sun Oct 18, 2020 10:39 am

I am using cefsharp web browser control.
When I am trying to download a file from trusted domain it is getting downloaded as untrusted file.

Somewhere in the forum I found that setting the below property of cef settings fix the issue but it did not help me.

settings.ApplicationClientIdForFileScanning = Guid.NewGuid().ToString()

Cef Sharp Version 79.0.36
OS -Win 10

Any help would greatly be appreciated :)

What if you test with the Sample Application (cefclient) from http://opensource.spotify.com/cefbuilds/index.html ?

This is related issue that added ApplicationClientIdForFileScanning option: https://bitbucket.org/chromiumembedded/ ... ted-domain

There is another report in comments from Kalpesh Jain saying that it also doesn't work for him.

Can you test previous releases (Sample Application) to find out which branch broke the feature?

Hi Czarek

Tested with various other CEF sharp version by setting ApplicationClientIDForFileScanning with GUID and below is the result.

CEF Sharp- V Status
------------------------------------------------
75.1.4 Working
79.1.36 Not working
85.3.13 Not working

It seems it got broken from when moving from V75 to V79.
