Error Code -336

I've built and run 64-31062 and 66-35902. Revision 64 works fine for me. Revision 66 however does not. I get a load failure with error code -336 (ERR_EMPTY_PROXY_LIST).

In ProxyService::TryToCompleteSynchronously(), revision 66 doesn't call HttpNetworkTransaction::proxy_info_'s UseDirect(). Revision 64 does. I'm not trying to suggest this is the cause of the failure, but rather that it is simply the origin.

Hi Eric,

Is this also a problem with the test_shell application at the current Chromium HEAD revision? If so, then it's likely a bug in Chromium and should be reported to them. If it was fixed after rev 35902 then the fix will be picked up by the next CEF update.

Thanks for your quick reply, Marshall. I do indeed also encounter the failure using test_shell with the latest Chromium revision (36228 at the time of my testing). I will investigate further and report the bug to them.

To be clear, this only seems to occur when I try loading http:// pages. file:/// pages work fine.
